Pioneer organic gardening projects, teach communities about conservation, and help establish public recycling programs when you volunteer with a local environmental non-profit in Salta, Argentina.

With sweeping views of the snow-capped Andes, pristine countryside, charming streets and historic buildings, Salta is a colonial gem amidst spectacular surroundings. But, like much of the developing world, Salta also suffers from widespread littering, no public recycling programs and a lack of environmental infrastructure. That's where you come in.

As a volunteer you can:
Initiate and teach environmental workshops in schools and in the     community
Research and archive environmental articles to be presented in     school-based programs
Assist with marketing and educational aspects of new recycling     programs
Help promote sustainable tourism and environmental education
Train community members in how to create and maintain organic     gardens

Choose from the following volunteer packages:
Bronze – volunteer work + hostel stay, including breakfast
Silver – volunteer work + home stay, including breakfast and lunch
Gold – volunteer work + home stay, including breakfast and lunch     (breakfast and dinner in Buenos Aires),+ 20 hours of group Spanish lessons per week at Bridge-Linguatec’s school in Buenos Aires for the first two weeks of your stay
