  Youth Outreach Program

Mentor underprivileged children when you volunteer with our Youth Outreach Program in Bolivia.

As a volunteer with our Youth Outreach Program, you will be helping young people with their school studies, sports, and other extracurricular activities. Working closely with our partner organization in Santa Cruz, you will have the opportunity to use your skills and talents to help at-risk children and teens reach their potential.

Volunteers in Bolivia will be working in the after-school program at a children's home with youth ranging in age from toddlers to 18-years-old. You will be able to help coach basketball and soccer teams, organize games, and give dancing lessons. Depending on your experience and language skills, you can also help develop other after-school activities such as cooking, music and carpentry. As a volunteer with this program, you will also serve as a mentor to the children, encouraging them in their studies as well as in their lives.

As a volunteer you will be:

Assisting teachers in various classes
Tutoring children with homework
Coaching sports teams
Helping children in extracurricular activities like
   music, baking and carpentry
Watching toddlers and babies during day care.

Comments from Our Volunteers
  Patricia Lee
“I was in Bolivia for a total of four months. I would highly recommend going abroad for anyone seeking to explore their world and learn about other countries. The experience is priceless—traveling anywhere and anytime is worth it, in my mind! It’s a different sort of education that can only be taught by action, not by learning theory.”
